After having spent the last six weeks in former Yugoslavian countries, we made our way to Thessaloniki, Greece. It was a tangible change with a big jump in prices, a large increase in beggars and more exposure to the seedier side of life. We stayed two nights in Thessaloniki before flying to Athens where we stayed for six nights. While in Greece we got our fill of ancient things. The most impressive was the Acropolis...
When you walk into Skopje, you feel like the city is a little wacky. At first there are a few statues. Then you realise they have so many statues that you can’t walk 5 metres without finding one. Many of these statues and also many of the buildings and features seem to be ‘copy...

if we could stay just one more night.
While here we went on a couple of tours, biked around the island, visited the
Tesla museum and went out to visit a nearby town.
